Voxel Scenes

Over the past year and change, I have fallen in love with a piece of software called MagicaVoxel. It began when my girlfriend introduced me to the charming, diorama-like work of a Japanese artist who goes by ue_voxel and who uses MagicaVoxel to model and render their work.

I could effuse for hours about the brilliant design of MagicaVoxel and the genius of its mysterious author, ephtracy. The approachability of voxel-based modelling along with the alluringly photorealistic output of the MagicaVoxel path-tracing renderer is for me an endlessly inspiring combination.

25 images are included, each of which has been rendered at the iMac 5K's screen resolution of 5128 x 2880 pixels, so they should display crisply on screens of lower resolution.
